NISD cheer squads win big at NCA Nationals

Congratulations to our high school cheerleading squads for their accomplishments at this year's National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) National Championships in Dallas. 

The squads from Brandeis, Brennan, Harlan, Holmes, and Warren high schools brought home national championships.

This is the seventh national championship, and second straight title, for Holmes High School. For the fourth year in a row, and sixth time overall, Brennan High School came home national champions in their division. Brandeis High School won a championship for the third time in school history and Harlan High School won their first national championship. The Warren High School squad won their third national championship and second in a row.

Brandeis 1st place – National Champions – Medium Intermediate Game Performance Division – Best Use of Tumbling and Superior Showmanship
Brennan 1st place – National Champions – Medium Novice Division – Best Use of Jumps and Superior Showmanship
Clark 3rd place – Small Novice Division
Harlan 1st place – National Champions – Large Novice Division – Best Jumps and Superior Showmanship
Holmes 1st place – National Champions – Small Intermediate Co-Ed Varsity Division – Best Use of Stunts and Jumps
Jay 6th place – Intermediate Non-Tumbling Division
Marshall 5th place – Small Novice Division – Best Use of Stunts and Superior Showmanship
O’Connor 3rd place – Small Intermediate Division – Best Use of Jumps
Stevens 2nd place – Intermediate Non-Tumbling Division – Best Use of Jumps
Warren 1st place – National Champions – Advanced Non Tumbling Division
