Keeping children safe from exploitation. Discovering the Road Map to College. Building relationships with teachers and schools.
These are just a few of the important topics attendees will learn about at the annual Title 1 Family Engagement Conference to be held Friday, Sept. 29 at Northside Activity Center from 8:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.
The conference, sponsored by the NISD State and Federal programs, is open to families with children of all ages and includes door prize opportunities, take home materials and resources, and lunch. Childcare will be provided.
“We want to empower our families, equip them with the tools they need to be successful, and inspire them to keep learning how to best help their children,” says Lisa Turner, Director of State and Federal Programs. “Families are our partners and this annual conference gives us the opportunity to learn and share with each other and hear from a great line up of speakers.”
The conference is free to attend but registration is required. Call 397-8930 to register.
