The deadline for applications is Jan. 11, 2019.
Northside magnet schools offer a focused, career-specific education for students who show an interest in a particular field or know what career path they want to take. Today, about 3,000 students are enrolled in NISD magnet programs.
The district’s newest magnet school, Marshall Law and Medical Services, will open in August 2019 on the Marshall HS campus. It will offer courses in the areas of Medical Services; Police, Law & Legal Services; and Legal Governance and Public Administration.
Northside School of Innovation, Technology, and Entrepreneurship (N-SITE), formerly known as Business Careers HS, has a new name to reflect updated strands of study which will include Entrepreneurship; Computer Programming; and Cyber-Security.
All Northside eighth graders are eligible for enrollment. Health Careers High School is the only magnet school to accept students who live outside the District. Some schools accept applications from students already in high school.
