Northside Threads accepting donations

In an effort to support NISD families, Northside Threads is accepting donations on a limited schedule due to COVID-19. Northside Threads is a clothing closet that provides gently used clothing and new socks and underwear for NISD students.

“Donations are vital in assisting students and families and helping our community recover,” says Lisa Turner, Director of State and Federal Programs. “As people are at home and they may be cleaning out closets, we hope they will think about donating to our clothes closet.”

To donate, you must schedule a drop off time by calling 210-397-8930.

Items being accepted include jeans, joggers, jeggings, and shirts in teen and children sizes; and new socks and underwear in adult and children sizes.

Donations are being accepted between 8 a.m. and noon on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at the Northside Family Engagement Center, 5223 Blessing Street.

For those who prefer to donate new items from online, orders can be shipped to the address above.

Volunteers are not needed at this time and Threads is closed for shopping until Northside ISD reopens.
