NISD parents will be asked to complete a short questionnaire and provide their choice of a learning model for their child(ren) for the 2020-2021 school year.
On Monday, Aug.3, an email will be sent to all parents asking them to choose between two instructional learning models: in-person learning or virtual learning.
“Despite the political climate affecting us, Northside ISD is going to make decisions based on public health metrics and what is best for our students and staff,” says Dr. Brian Woods, Superintendent. “As you know, we will start the school year virtually for at least two weeks or until it is safe for students to return to campuses.”
“The insight that we gather into whether you would like for your child to return to the classroom or remain in a virtual environment will be extremely helpful in our planning process.”
Parents will log in to the survey using their child's date of birth and ID# (student’s Lunch/Library#). A parent with multiple children will complete this short questionnaire for each child. Please know that parents will have until Aug. 10 to change their decision on which learning model they select. This information is critically important to our planning for the start of the school year.
If you do not receive an email with the link to the questionnaire, the link can be found here.
For information regarding the commitments for both the virtual and in-person environments please refer to the Back to School webpage.
The questionnaire will close at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 16.
