Special Education Department offers virtual information sessions in 2021

The Northside Special Education Department is offering a variety of virtual family information sessions starting in January 2021. To attend any of the Zoom sessions, sign up using this Google Form.

 

Date/Time – Jan. 13, 6 p.m.

Topic – Guardianship and Alternatives to Guardianship  

This session will help families determine if guardianship is needed or if one of the alternatives to guardianship is a better option for their child once they turn 18.

Topic – Special Education 101

This session will help familiarize new parents with the Special Education process and the parts of the Individual Education Plan (IEP) for their student.

Topics –

12 p.m. – Accessible Technology

This session will look at accessibility websites and introduce you to information that will empower your child to access digital material with more independence.

Esta sesión buscará sitios web de accesibilidad y le presentará información que le permitirá a su hijo acceder a material digital con más independencia.
