Students learning to serve their campus and community

A new campus organization for male students at Villarreal Elementary School is teaching the students to be respectful, set goals, and how to dress for the occasion.

The Young Gentlemen's Organization meets weekly for a working lunch, dressing to impress for the occasion. The 10 and 11-year-old boys talk about importance of treating others with respect, how to tie a tie, how to properly shake hands, among other things.

When the young 5th graders aren’t practicing behavior, they are putting it into action, carrying out community service activities weekly and listening to guest speakers about overcoming life challenges.

There are several other NISD schools that have Young Gentlemen’s Organizations on their campus.
