Swimmers and diver excel at State Competition

Northside was well-represented at the UIL State Swimming and Diving competition held recently at North East ISD’s Bill Walker Natatorium.

The Clark HS Boys team finished 8th overall in the team standings. Jackson Stallworth, senior and Arizona State commit, finished 3rd in the 100 Butterfly to capture the team's only medal.

Evan Croley, freshman, finished 9th in the 100 Backstroke. Sophomore Brayden Mandacina finished in 7th place in the 100 Breaststroke. Joining these three swimmers for the 200 Free Relay and the 400 Free Relay were senior Keith Elms and junior Lane Stallworth. The relays finished 4th and 8th respectively.

On the girls' side, Brandeis HS senior Avery Francis finished 10th in the 1-m Diving event.

Clark HS coach is Kyrenda King-Rogers and Brandeis HS coach is Megan Perez. District diving coach is Kristin Libardoni.

“With all of the challenges that this year presented, we are all very proud of the accomplishments of all of our swimmers and divers, but especially our State qualifiers,” says Anthony Plummer, Assistant Athletic Director for Aquatics. “They made us all Northside Proud.”
