Student Drop Off and Pick Up
Student safety is our number one priority at Thornton Elementary, especially when it comes to before and after school transportation. The drive-thru line is a very convenient option for parents, but we ask that all parents follow these expectations.
- Cars must continue moving forward as space along the curb becomes available.
- Do not block the crosswalks.
- Do not leave your vehicle.
- Unload/Load using a curbside (right side of the car) passenger door only.
- Be patient and courteous to other parents.
- Do not cut in line.
If your child must sit on the left side of the car or if your child needs your help to exit the vehicle, we ask that you please park and walk your child into the school.
