Westwood Terrace's Living legend

Mrs. Belinda Maggard, is a Westwood Terrace Elementary School legend.

“A legend is someone who leaves behind an unforgettable impression on others. They touch lives, they're remembered, they're cherished. There are all sorts of legends in this world – famous or not. Becoming one means finding your particular role, your calling, following it, and touching others around you.”

Belinda started her formal schooling right here at Westwood Terrace Elementary (WWT) in 1967.  She went on to graduate from John Jay High School in 1974. One of the many things that makes Belinda a WWT legend is in her love for WWT Elementary and her belief in the Northside School System.  She made sure her children attended WWT (1991-1995) and even her grandchildren (2009-2016). Due to her strong beliefs in WWT Elementary and the surrounding community, she started working at WWT from 1996-2020.

Belinda has left her prints in everything that she has done.  She found her calling as an educator and helping students of all ages.  She has made an incredible impression on many students. Inspiring them to achieve their goals and overcome any obstacles they may encounter along the way. She leads by example and the students always know what is expected from them.

The Westwood Terrace Staff and Faculty would like to say farewell to Belinda Maggard.  You are loved and will be missed greatly!
