The first grade teachers want to remind you that reading aloud to your children continues to be valuable even when they have learned to read. When you read a book higher than your children’s reading level, it can increase their vocabulary, attention span, and motivation to keep practicing their own reading. Discussing the selection following the reading can also help develop your children’s reading comprehension. Please make time for reading aloud in your family today
The students enjoyed their very own Parade on Friday, April 17th. Every child did an outstanding job on their Shoe Box floats. Thank you to all the parents and family members who came out to share this with the students.
Here is Ms. Nash's 4th grade class displaying their Shoe Box Floats.
