A Letter from the GTEAC President :
The NISD Gifted & Talented/Enrichment Advisory Council is a wonderful opportunity to advocate for our children and students. The Advisory Council gives parents, teachers, and students a place to have their wants and needs heard for the NISD GT/Enrichment Programs. Please join us at the monthly Council meeting to voice your concerns, learn more about the GT/Enrichment Programs, and help initiate change where it is helpful and feasible. In these hard economic times, GTEAC is looking forward to raising funds for grants to give GT/Enrichment teachers some of the extra tools they need in order to challenge our students and help prepare them to be high achievers in the world after high school. Also, due to these hard economic times, it is important that we advocate maintaining the advancements and programs of the GT/Enrichment environments throughout NISD. As a fellow parent, I greatly appreciate your involvement in GTEAC. Our children are the future and our investment in them is the greatest legacy we can leave.
Craig T. Schiebel,
President of the GT & Enrichment Advisory Council
Advisory Council Mission
The mission of the GT/Enrichment Advisory Council is to enhance the opportunities and experiences of students in NISD by identifying and recommending improvements for the ALPHA Program, by expanding public opinion and awareness through communications, and by providing funds for grants and specialized GT projects.
