Introduction

You are about to go on a Native American Treasure Hunt. Use the Internet resources to answer the 10 questions that follow. When you have finished, answer the Big Question that asks you to combine a lot of what you learned through the treasure hunt into a "big picture."


Questions:

1.  Choose a Native American tribe that lives in the assigned region.
2.  What is the name of your tribe?
3.  What is their main source of  food?
4.  What kind of clothing do they wear?
5.  Where do they get the materials to make their clothing?
6.  How is their culture expressed in their artwork?
7.  List three customs or traditions that make your tribe unique.
8. Imagine you were a man/woman in your tribe.  What jobs would be assigned to you?
9. If you got sick?  Where would you go for medicine and healing?
10. Who leads your tribe?  What made them a good leader?
