3rd Grade

Hello! My name is Sara Perrenoud and I’m SO excited to welcome you to 3rd Grade! You may recognize me from the office or as the At-Risk Instructional Assistant previously here at Kallison. I graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio where I earned an Interdisciplinary Studies degree with a teaching certification in EC-6. I began my teaching journey 13 years ago and took a 10 year break to raise my family. I previously taught in Kindergarten and 3rd Grade. I always knew I would come back to the classroom and there’s no place I’d rather be than here at Kallison!  I’ve been married to my husband Evan for 16 years and we have two wonderful children, Parker (10) and Piper (8). Our children keep us busy with football and competitive dance almost everyday of the week. When we aren’t traveling to and from sports, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends.
 

My name is Lizette Vega and I’m so excited to be your teacher this school year! This will be my 12th year teaching. I’ve taught PPCD and Kindergarten. This will be my first year in 3rd, which I am so excited for! I graduated with a bachelors in Special Education and Interdisciplinary Studies from The University of San Antonio Texas! Birds Up! I am a big UTSA Fan, along with Spurs and Dallas Cowboys! I love white chocolate, popcorn, colorful pens, Rae Dunn items and favorite color is purple!

This is my 11th year of teaching and my 5th here at Kallison! I graduated from St. Mary's University in 2013 and won 1st year Educator of the Year in 2014. My husband Zeke and I have 3 children: Stella (6), Zeke IV (3), & Helena (1). I absolutely love teaching 3rd grade! I come from a family of educators and truly believe I have the best job because I get to spend my days with the coolest little people!

Welcome to third grade! I am so EXCITED to be your third grade teacher. This will be my 9th year teaching! I live in Helotes with my husband, Ryan, beautiful daughter, Aryana and our crazy shih tzu, Ava. Teaching is an absolute passion of mine! It’s going to be a year full of fun, learning, and lots of adventures. I am so thrilled to see what this year has in store for us! Are you ready to begin?!

Welcome to 3rd Grade! I am so happy you're here! I am looking forward to having a great year filled with fun, learning, and adventure. I truly love what I do and can't wait to meet my 2023-2024 class family! This is going to be my 8th year teaching. I've taught 5th grade for 3 years, and 3rd grade for 4....3rd is my favorite! I am a proud wife to an amazing husband, and mama to two sweet toddlers who keep me busy and so happy!

Welcome to 3rd grade. I am so happy you're here! My name is Hope Powell and I am a 3rd grade teacher at Kallison. I was born and raised in a small town in Illinois and moved here just a little over 2 years ago. I originally came to San Antonio to complete my student teaching, when I just happened to love Texas so much that I decided to stay! I graduated from Illinois State University with my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education with an ESL endorsement. This will be my second year teaching in the BEST grade ever. I love to workout, read, watch documentaries, and travel back home to visit friends and family. We are going to have a great year of learning, adventures, and fun! 

Hi, I am Brielle Rios and I am so excited to be your teacher this year! I am a product of NISD and I am so happy to be teaching where I grew up. In my class we will do a lot of fun games and activities because I am a firm believer that school and learning can be fun for all learners. I come from a big family and I am a mom to my black lab, Luca. My life motto is keep moving forward and I hope we can apply this to our lives together!

Hi! My name is Miss Weinstrom. So excited to be your teacher this year. I grew up in Devine, Texas.I am a dog mama to a cute long-haired dachshund named Poppy.  I attended Texas State University where I got a bachelor's degree in Special Education. This is my 5thyear teaching and my 3rd year teaching 3rd grade. 3rd grade is the BEST! 

Hello, my name is Diandra Galindo and I am so excited to have you in my class this year!  This is my 6th year teaching and I have experience teaching both 3rd and 4th grades. I married my highschool sweetheart Greg, we have a son named Gavin (4), and have a grumpy old Shuh Tzu named Flynn. When I'm not at school, I enjoy baking delicious custom cookies and spending time with family. I take pride in teaching in this district because I am a proud product of NISD! I look forward to working with you and your student this year, and help make their 3rd grade experience an awesome one!
