Counselors at Pat Neff Middle School assist students in their educational, career, personal and social development. Guidance lessons are provided for students on topics such as making decisions and problem solving, behaving responsibly, and developing and maintaining self-esteem with the motivation to achieve. Counselors strive to work with students to overcome problems that interfere with their success in school. Small group counseling is offered, with parental consent, on a variety of issues, from divorce and grief, to study skills. Parents are encouraged to be active participants in the school guidance program.
