INTRODUCTION

When most of us think about birthdays we celebrate in February, we naturally think of our two Presidents, Washington and Lincoln. But many more famous Americans were born in that month. We will look at several of them and find out more about them and their contributions.

PLAN:

Your February Timeline project will consist of two tasks. Task One will have you picking 5 famous Februarians, finding out when they were born and making your own timeline showing their dates of birth. Task Two will have you choosing one of the five to research more in depth. You will use that information to present your information as a:

  • Concept Map in Inspiration (Visual/ Spatial, Intrapersonal)
  • Poster in Publisher(Verbal/Linguistic)
  • A rap in conjunction with a Powerpoint (musical/rhythmic) individually or with a group (Interpersonal)

DO

Task 1: Using your organizer, click on 5 of the Februarians below to find out when and where they were born. Now, using Timeliner, put that information on a simple timeline.

Task 2: Pick your favorite of the 5 Februarians. Find out more about him/her and record the information on your task two organizer.

Click on the Februarian of your choice to find out more:

Using what you learned design your final project (see above,) making sure you include all the information you have gathered.

REVIEW
