Special Education Extended School Year, Summer Program 2012
The purpose of Extended School Year Services is to address severe and substantial regression in children with disabilities in one or more acquired critical skills that cannot be recouped within a reasonable period of time, not to exceed eight weeks.
Extended School Year Services are individualized instructional programs provided to eligible students with disabilities beyond the regular school year. ESY must be addressed annually for each student with a disability and services determined on an individual bases by the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee.
