For the first time in school history, Warren High School placed 2nd overall at the State Finals and now advances to the national competition. The team, who received over $11,000 in scholarships, also won first place in the Super Quiz Relay.
Individual winners include:
- Fiona Martinez who received a bronze medal in art, and Social science in the honors division
- Elias Rodriguez who received a gold medal in music in the honors division.
- Aryanna Ordonez who received a silver medal in art, and bronze in science in the honors division.
- Michael Padilla who received a silver medal in art, literature, and a bronze medal in economics in the scholastic division.
- Mars Bayona who received a silver medal in economics, science, interview, and a bronze in art in the varsity division.
- Trent Arce, in the varsity division, who received silver medal in economics and a gold medal in the following events: literature, mathematics, music, science, social science, and essay.
- Mars Bayona placed 2nd highest varsity student in the state of Texas and will receive a $1,500 scholarship
- Trent Arce placed 1st highest Varsity in the state of Texas and will receive a $2,000 scholarship
