The Northside ISD Communications Department has 9 employees who are committed to providing the community, parents, and staff information about the successes and achievements of Northside ISD, as well as the challenges facing South Texas' largest school district.

Supporting Northside Education Foundation
NISD Communication staff members came out to support the annual Spring NEF "Run/Walk with the Right Crowd" event supporting grants-to-teachers. The "We Are Northside" team included (l-r) Marcy Slate, Julie Ann Matonis, Monica Faulkenbery, and Karen Adler with Noah Wood.

The department is comprised of four offices. The Web Information Office is responsible for publishing the District's web content on www.nisd.net. The Graphics Office handles most of the District's print media (brochures, publications, etc.) and graphics needs. NISD-TV is the third component of the Communications Department. It is charged with communicating to the public via Inside Northside Video Magazine, a monthly cable access show. The fourth area of responsibility includes internal and external public relations activities, news media relations, and management consulting.
