District Enrollment History

Established in 1949 by the consolidation of several rural school districts, Northside today is 355 square miles of urban landscape, suburban growth and rural Texas hill country. Although it began with only 823 students, Northside today is South Texas' largest school system, with an enrollment for the 2006-07 school year of 82,767. This growth is sustained by almost 4,000 new students enrolling in Northside each year.
