Music class focuses on singing, playing instruments, listening, movement, world music, singing games, and drumming. Fourth and fifth graders have access to recorders and ukuleles.
Students in grades Kinder through 5th have music instruction once every 6 days. Content grades and citizenship grades are taken every nine weeks.
Several performing groups practice throughout the year including Choir, grade levels for performances, and Orff Ensemble. The students perform for Veterans Day, December’s “An Evening with the Arts”, and May’s, “Fine Arts Finale”.
