This is one of our favorite events of the year because it’s the beginning of something special! During your 30-minute session, your family will have the opportunity to:

🙌 Get everyone hyped and ready for an amazing first day of school!
And because every celebration is better with a sweet treat… 🍧 join us for Paletas with the Principals! We can’t wait to see everyone, visit with our families, and welcome both our returning and brand-new Cougars to the Brauchle family.
This year’s theme is Driven with Purpose, and that’s exactly how we’re approaching this school year. We are committed to helping every child grow academically, socially, and emotionally while creating a school where every student feels loved, challenged, and inspired to do their very best.
Thank you for trusting us with your children. It is truly an honor to partner with your family. We know this is going to be a year full of growth, success, friendships, celebrations, and unforgettable memories.

Dear Families,
We have exciting news: starting 8/7/26 teachers, coaches, and staff will be able to message families directly and securely through ClassDojo Teacher-Parent Messaging.
What parents and guardians can expect
- You’ll receive an email notification when your family is first invited to set up an account.
- After clicking the link, this will take you to a screen to either sign up or log into your existing account. Once you have logged into your account, you will see that you are connected to your child's class.
- Connected families logged into the app will receive push notifications every time they are sent a private, group, or mass message, and every time a School Story or Class Story post is shared. Family members do not receive a notification each time their child receives a point or feedback.
- To send or reply to a teacher's message, please log in to your account on the ClassDojo app or the ClassDojo website. Once in your account, click on the Chats tab, then the teacher's name. Use the blank compose box at the bottom of the screen to write your message and click "Send" to send the message to your student’s teacher.

The FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL is right around the corner, and we seriously cannot wait to welcome our Cougars back! 🎉
Our teachers and staff have poured so much time, love, and heart into preparing for this school year. We want that first walk through the doors to be something special—a CORE MEMORY for your child as they begin another amazing year at Brauchle! ❤️🏁
📣 A FEW FRIENDLY FIRST-WEEK REMINDERS:
⏰🏁 SCHOOL START TIME — READY, SET, LEARN!
Our first bell rings at 7:35 AM, and the school day officially begins at 7:45 AM!
Beginning Tuesday, parents who are walking their child to class will need to be on campus no later than 7:40 AM. This will give you enough time to walk your child to the classroom, say those last hugs and goodbyes, and allow our Cougars to be in their seats and READY before the 7:45 AM tardy bell. ❤️
We want to make certain that EVERY COUGAR is ready to begin learning at 7:45 AM! Every minute matters, and we appreciate your help getting our students off to a strong start each morning! 🐾📚🏁
🐾 FIRST DAY WALK-IN
Parents are welcome to walk their children all the way to their classrooms on the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL—no badge needed! ❤️
Beginning the second day, we will start using our Fast Passes. Please make sure you have:
✔️ Completed the Fast Pass document
✔️ Had your ID scanned in the front office
⚠️ Everyone will need a NEW ID scan this year for safety purposes.
🥞🍎 BREAKFAST & LUNCH WITH YOUR COUGAR
The first week of school is all about building relationships, routines, structures, and consistency for our students. Our teachers will be helping students learn and practice breakfast and lunch expectations throughout the week.
Parents will be able to join students for breakfast and/or lunch beginning the SECOND WEEK OF SCHOOL. ❤️
🚗🏁 DISMISSAL — PATIENCE IS KEY!
Please be patient with us during dismissal, especially during the first week. Our #1 priority is making sure EVERY SINGLE COUGAR is accounted for and gets home safely! 🐾❤️
🚘 Please have your car tag ready to help keep our dismissal line moving smoothly.
🚩 For families picking up at the flagpole across the street, we will not begin entering numbers until 3:05 PM—and it may be a little later during the first week as everyone learns the routine.
We promise…the first few days may take a little longer, but each day we will get faster, smoother, and stronger! 🏁💨

What a Fabulous First Day!
We hope your children came home excited and ready to share all the wonderful stories from their day! Our Cougars did an absolutely fabulous job learning new routines, reconnecting with friends, and starting the year strong! 🌟
Thank you for your patience during dismissal, especially those waiting near the flagpole. We identified the glitch in our system, and dismissal should run much more smoothly tomorrow!
🚗 Important Reminders for Tomorrow:
⭐ Parents entering the building will need to show their Fast Pass. If you do not have one, please bring your driver’s license to the front office so it can be scanned and a visitor badge can be issued.
⭐ If you plan to walk your child to class, please arrive on campus no later than 7:40 a.m. Our learning begins promptly at 7:45 a.m., and we want every Cougar ready to start the day successfully!
🍎 Breakfast and Lunch Visitors:
This week, our Cougars are learning cafeteria routines, practicing procedures, and enjoying time with their friends during breakfast and lunch. Our campus will open for breakfast and lunch visitors beginning next Monday.

A Letter from the Brauchle Elementary Library
August 2026
Dear Brauchle Families,
Welcome back to what is shaping up to be another amazing school year! My name is Rocio Moreno, and I am excited to be Brauchle substitute librarian for this 26- 27 school year. I serve all students on campus: from our 3 year- olds to our fifth graders. I have been a LIbrarian for 6+ years.
Students will visit the library once a week. Students will listen to stories, engage in activities that support classroom learning, and select books that support academic and pleasure reading goals.
Checkout Limits:
- Pre-K: Each student selects one book to make a class set that remains in the classroom.
- Kindergarten and First Grade: 1 book
- Second Grade: 2 books
- Third, Fourth, and Fifth Grades: 3 books
Caring for library books properly is important. However, books do get lost or damaged. If this happens, we ask that payment is made to replace the book in the library. Overdue fines are not charged in NISD libraries. Notices of overdue books will be sent each 9 weeks.

Brauchle Elementary Brush Rush
When: Thursday, Oct 29, 2026
Where: School Cafeteria
Schedule: PreK- 2nd (8:00am- 8:50am), 3rd- 5th (9:00am- 9:50am)
What we will learn:
- Brushing Basics: The importance of brushing teeth every day, including proper techniques and the right amount of time to brush.
- Fantastic Flossing: The significance of flossing to remove tricky plaque, along with exactly how and when to do it.
- Tooth- Friendly Diet: Educating students on how the foods and drinks they consume affect the health and strength of their teeth.
- Friendly Dentist Visits: Helping to reduce or eliminate the fear of visiting the dentist and encouraging routine dental checkups.
Please complete and return the bottom portion of the form that was sent home with your child by October 26th.

We must admit, we hesitated to share our TEA Accountability Rating on social media because Brauchle is so much more than a letter grade. 💙🐾
Our campus should never be defined by one single letter. A letter cannot fully capture the heart of our school, the relationships we build, the challenges our students overcome, the growth we celebrate, or the countless hours our staff dedicates to helping every child succeed.
Brauchle is our students. Brauchle is our staff. Brauchle is our families. Brauchle is our community.
Together, we are ONE TEAM. ONE GOAL. ❤️
We continue to see tremendous growth and gains in our students, and we could not be prouder. We are incredibly fortunate to have a phenomenal staff who works tirelessly each day to ensure our students achieve at high levels and, just as importantly, make meaningful growth toward their individual goals.
Our students show up, work hard, persevere, and continue to amaze us. Our families stand beside us, support our school, and partner with us in doing what is best for our Cougars. It truly takes all of us.
So while this TEA “B” Rating does not define Brauchle, it does tell a piece of our story. It represents the hard work, dedication, growth, teamwork, and commitment that happens throughout our campus every single day.

We are so excited to welcome our Brauchle grandparents and families for a very special Grandparents Day Breakfast!
Grandparents hold such a special place in the hearts and lives of our students, and we can’t wait to celebrate the love, encouragement, and memories they bring to our Brauchle family. Please join us for a wonderful morning on Friday September 11th from 7:00-7:45 filled with good food, great company, lots of smiles, and special memories with your favorite little Cougar! 🐾

A HUGE THANK YOU to all of our amazing Brauchle families who donated to the OC Peanut Butter Bowl! Because of your generosity, we collected an incredible 889 containers of peanut butter to help support families in need! ❤️
And WOW — we had some serious friendly competition! 🏆 Mrs. Beason’s 5th grade class brought in a WHOPPING 366 containers, while Ms. Clardy’s 4th grade class came in strong with an AMAZING 204 containers! These two classes were in a tight race and certainly showed their Cougar spirit! 🐾
What an incredible way for our Brauchle community to come together, support OC, and make a difference for families who need it most.
To every student, family, and staff member who donated, encouraged others, and helped make this drive such a success — THANK YOU! We are so proud of the way our Cougars continue to SHOW UP for others! 💙❤️

Thursday- celebrate Constitution Day by wearing red, white and blue
