April Updates and Important Dates
We have several holidays this April. Students and staff will be off on the following days:
- April 3 – Good Friday
- April 6 – Easter Monday
- April 23 – Fiesta Parties
- April 24 – Battle of Flowers
April also includes several important appreciation days:
- April 7 – School Librarians Day
- April 15 – Purple Up Day (honoring the children of military members)
- Week of April 20 – After School Professionals Week, National Library Week, and Public Schools Volunteers Week
- April 22 – Administrative Professionals Day
- April 28 – School Bus Drivers Appreciation Day
STAAR Testing Dates
- April 14 – 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade Reading and Writing
- April 21 – 5th Grade Science
- April 28 – 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade Mathematics
It is very important to note that, due to test security requirements and the need to maintain an optimal testing environment, we will not be allowing volunteers or campus visitors on STAAR testing days. Please help us by sharing this information with grandparents and other family members. We understand this may be disappointing, but limiting interruptions helps ensure all students can perform at their best. Thank you for your understanding and support.
