About Our Special Education Program

The Special Education program at Clark High School is committed to promoting a culture of inclusion and differentiation, preparing students for successful transitions into adulthood after high school. This program prioritizes creating an environment where all students, regardless of their learning abilities, feel valued and supported.

Through specially designed instruction, collaborative teaching, and adaptive strategies, the program ensures that each student receives the necessary guidance to succeed across settings. In addition to academic support, there is a emphasis on functional and independent skills to prepare students for life beyond the classroom. Case managers collaborate closely with students to develop personalized learning plans tailored to diverse needs, equipping them with the tools to navigate higher education, employment, or independent living. This dedication to differentiation and future readiness allows every student to thrive, reaching their full potential within a supportive and inclusive community.

By fostering understanding and friendship, we aim to dismantle barriers and challenge misconceptions about disabilities. Our mission is to create an environment where all individuals are celebrated for their unique contributions, reinforcing the belief that everyone deserves respect and companionship.

Vocational Instruction Program (VIP)

The goal of the Vocational Instruction Program (VIP) is to offer students opportunities to develop a variety of employability skills both on-campus and in the community, increasing their chances of securing employment before or upon graduation.
