Our Journalism/Yearbook elective is offered to 7th and 8th graders only.
This course is designed to introduce students to graphic design, journalistic writing, video production, podcasting, mass media broadcasting, advertising, marketing, and photography.
The start of the year, students will learn principles of journalism and broadcasting. Students will produce and record the school's announcements three times a week, while maintaining photograph coverage of all events occuring on campus. Students will study the basics of journalism and yearbook production, freedom and responsibility of the press, career opportunities in mass communications, and specialized writing.
