Being part of the Vale Journalism Staff, you will have an opportunity to make a difference in your classmates’ lives. We are constantly on the search for the truth in the stories that make up our school so we can share the great things about our campus and culture with each other and the outside world. You will learn to ask the right questions in order to tell engaging stories, record once in a lifetime memories in the form of photos and videos, and create publications that students and teachers will keep for years to come.
This course is designed to introduce and prepare students for high school journalism. They will have the opportunity to study the basics in news reporting, advertising, marketing, yearbook design, and photography. Our program creates and publishes a campus newspaper and yearbook that is available to all students, staff, and parents.
