Beard Elementary third-grade teacher Mrs. Sweeney was honored with a Trinity Prize for Excellence in Teaching and recognized during a special ceremony at Laurie Auditorium at Trinity University on May 8.

Selected as one of just 16 recipients from more than 130 applicants, Sweeney earned the prestigious award for her leadership, student impact, and mentorship.
