Jeremy Day - Principal
I joined Beard Elementary School in 2016, following thirteen years of service within the Northside Independent School District. My career began at Allen Elementary and continued through several NISD schools as a math specialist. Prior to joining the Beard family I was an Administrative Intern at Pease Middle School.

I grew up in Iowa and received my undergraduate degree from the University of Northern Iowa in Elementary Education with a specialization in math. I earned my master’s degree in Educational Leadership from UTSA in 2013.

I love our collaborative school environment that is key to creating successful teachers and students. I believe partnerships with parents and community partners are essential to enriching the experience at Beard Elementary.

I began my teaching career in the Northside Independent School District at Allen Elementary and gained experience and friends at other campuses while teaching both 2nd and 4th grade. In 2019 I was fortunate to begin serving Beard as the math specialist and moved to the role of GT specialist in 2021.

Since obtaining my undergraduate degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Abilene Christian University and earning my master's in Educational Administration from Lamar University, I have aspired to be a servant leader. I am honored to be a part of our Buckaroo family where we transform the learning experience for students, and I am excited to have the pleasure of working with such a wonderful community.
