The Strings program at Beard Elementary is a great place for 5th grade students who are interested in learning a musical instrument.  Classes meet 2 times a week after school and the program is completely free! The strings program is taught by Danica Murphy, a certified music teacher specializing in string instrument and she is also the Orchestra Director for Garcia Middle School. String students can expect to learn the fundamentals in string playing and note reading, no prior experience is needed for this class! Tax Rate Notice
This year's levy to fund maintenance and operations expenditures exceeds last year's maintenance and operations tax levy.
Northside Independent School District ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE.
THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 1.05 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $30.00.
