Meet the Librarian - Mrs. Chavez
Hello Mustangs!
My name is Kimberly Chavez and I am the proud librarian of the Boone Mustangs! Being a librarian is my dream job and I look forward to sharing my excitement for libraries and learning with all of you this year.
A little about me...
I have been an Elementary Educator for 18 years.
I graduated from Penn State University and am a HUGE Penn State Football Fan!
When I'm not reading, I enjoy spending time with my family and traveling.

About the Boone Library
Library Hours
Monday & Friday: 7:45 am to 2:45 pm
Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday: 7:10 am to 2:45 pm
Class Visits
Kindergarten - 5th classes visit the library following an 8 day rotation schedule for library lessons and checkouts. Teachers can sign up for additional library time if needed. Open checkout times are available for students to return and checkout books in between class visits. Pre-k classrooms are visited once per week for story time and activities.
Student Checkouts
All student books can be checked out for 2 weeks.
Kindergarten & 1st grade: Students may check out 1 book at a time.
2nd & 3rd grade: Students may check out 2 books at a time.
4th & 5th grade: Students may check out 3 books at a time.
Parent Checkouts
Parents/guardians can create their own library account and check out up to 5 books at a time for 2 weeks. They can come in with their child in the morning before school Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday to check out/return books. They can also come in by themselves during the school day when the library is open after checking in with the office.
