Welcome to the Brandeis Library!

Library Hours

8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.  Mon - Fri
(access may vary, due to scheduled classes, meetings, etc.)

Library Environment

Respect our space, others, and yourself. Our library is used by students, teachers, and staff for a variety of reasons. While we encourage the use of the library as a collaborative space during lunches and before/after school, it is important that a study atmosphere be maintained. If you disrupt other guests, you will be asked to leave; major disruptions will be reported to Administration.

Access

  • At all times: You MUST have your student ID to visit the library.
  • During class: You MUST have a pass signed by a teacher or administrator. Please present your pass to library staff upon arrival.
  • During lunch: You MUST complete the Library Expectations Acknowledgement form and receive a sticker on your student ID in order to visit the library during lunch. *Lunch access varies, dependent upon classes scheduled to use the space.

Sign In & Sign Out

For safety reasons, all students visiting the library must sign into the N-Time system with their student ID, unless attending with a class. If leaving before the end of the period, please sign out. Library staff will log all students off at the end of each period.

Check-out

  • You may check out up to five books at a time.
  • Manga and graphic novels
  • If you have an overdue item, additional checkouts may be limited until the item is returned. We do not charge overdue fees.
  • Should you lose or damage a library item, NISD Board policy states that you will be required to pay for that item. We accept cash or check in the library; credit card payments can be made via My School Bucks. All fines and fees should be settled by the end of the school year.

Printing

We have desktop computers and printers available for class & student use. Printing should be limited to school-related purposes.
