Summer is winding down, and we are ramping up! Our amazing teachers and staff have been working around the clock (even cutting their summer short!) to create warm, welcoming, and snazzy classroom spaces just for your kiddos. 💫 We cannot wait to see their smiling faces!

We are beyond THRILLED to share some amazing news—Burlington Stores is opening a brand-new location at Bandera & 1604, and they have chosen Brauchle Elementary as their official partner campus! 🎉
As part of this incredible partnership, Burlington is donating $5,000 to our campus to help our teachers create engaging, inspiring, and unforgettable learning experiences for our Cougars. What a phenomenal way to kick off the school year!
To celebrate, Burlington has invited our entire Brauchle community to their Ribbon Cutting Ceremony this Friday at 8:30 AM. Some of our staff will proudly represent our school, showing off our Cougar spirit and gratitude for this amazing opportunity.

💥Dismissal begins at 3:00 PM – PLEASE bring your car tags to keep the line moving quickly.
💥We strongly recommend vehicle pick-up for safety and efficiency.
💥If you plan to walk up to the flagpole, dismissal numbers will start at 3:10 PM to help with traffic control and ensure students get where they need to be.
💥If you signed up for a Fast Pass, remember: the Google form is not enough. Stop by the front office to scan your ID before Wednesday. Fast Passes will help us quickly and safely identify parents.

Dismissal Processes
We are so proud of how smoothly our dismissal process is running—thank you all for working together to make it such a success! Just a quick reminder:
At 3:15 p.m., any remaining students will be brought to the office.
After 3:20 p.m., staff will begin contacting parents/guardians, and students must be signed out through the office.
A valid ID is required at pick-up. Please note there is no supervision available after 3:20.

Picture Day August 29th
We hope each of you enjoyed a wonderful day. Just a quick reminder—tomorrow is Picture Day 📸 and we’ll all be smiling bright! Also, please remember that Monday is Labor Day (no school), so enjoy the extra time with family and friends.
As a friendly reminder, when parents join their children for lunch in the cafeteria, we kindly ask that visits remain in the cafeteria only. For the safety of all students, parents will not be able to walk around campus or escort their child back to class. Rest assured, our amazing teachers will make sure every Cougar gets back to class safely and happily. 💙
We are so grateful for your support in keeping our school safe and focused on learning. Wishing everyone a fabulously blessed three-day weekend filled with joy, rest, and family time!

Senate Bill 12 (SB12)
Hello Brauchle Parents,
Last week you received an email from NISD regarding Senate Bill 12 (SB12). This bill requires schools to obtain parental consent for certain student services, including visits with our nurse, Nurse East, and our counselor, Mrs. Galindo.
Please note:
• The primary email address on file for each of your children will receive a separate email.
• A consent form must be completed for each student individually.
• Until this form is submitted, our nurse and counselor will not be able to provide services to your child.
We kindly ask that you complete the form(s) as soon as possible. Thank you for helping us ensure we can fully support your child at school.

Once Upon A Time Book Fair- Help Needed
Hello Parents, we are looking for help to set up the Once Upon A Time book fair. We need help with displays, pricing, decorations, etc. If you have a day or even an hour to spare we would love for you to come help us out. We set up on Oct. 7th 8:00-2:30. We will also need help on the mornings of Wednesday, October 8th and Thursday, October 9th to help our youngest cougars write their wish list.

Student Holiday- Nov. 4th
We hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween filled with laughter, fun, and special memories with family and friends! The weather couldn’t have been more perfect. 🎃
We also want to extend a thank you for your patience and understanding during Friday’s Halloween 👻Parade. With nearly 300 parents joining us on campus, it was a busy and exciting day! We truly appreciate everyone’s flexibility as we made a few quick adjustments to ensure we could celebrate together safely and still finish before dismissal.
It meant so much to see so many of you there—smiling, cheering, and sharing in the joy of your children’s day. The costumes were absolutely amazing, and the happiness on our students’ faces said it all. 💙
Just a friendly reminder that tomorrow, students have the day off while our teachers engage in professional learning. We will see everyone back on Wednesday, November 5th.

Turkey Feather Fundraiser- Nov 14-20
Student council will kick off their first fundraising event on November 14th.
How it works:
- Each teacher will have their own turkey in the front foyer
- Students can purchase a feather for $1 to place on their teacher's turkey
- The teacher with the most feathers at the end of the fundraiser will wear a special turkey costume to school!
- The class with the most feathers will win a popcorn party
You can purchase feathers in the morning from 7:20- 8:45 am.
The winner will be announced Thursday, November 20th. Thank you for supporting Brauchle Student Council

Dinosaur Museum at Nichols- December 2
Our wonderful neighborhood school, Nichols Elementary, has invited all of our Brauchle families to stop by and explore the Dinosaur George exhibit on Tuesday. It’s an incredible experience for kids and adults—if you haven’t seen it before, you’re in for a treat! 🦖💫
George is a paleontologist educator with over 40 years of experience in the field! His museum has travelled all across Texas and is sponsored by PBS KLRN. George is also the host of the popular Dinosaur George Kids podcast, listened to by millions worldwide! Families/ siblings are highly encouraged to come during our open house on Tuesday, December 2nd from 5-7 pm.
