Lucille Gomez, Principal
Lucille Gomez - Principal
My name is Lucy Gomez and I am so excited to serve our Carnahan family as your Principal! I am a proud product of Northside (Go Mustangs!), and love that I am able to teach here as well!

I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M - Kingsville, and a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from UTSA.

This will be my 16th year in this great district. Prior to joining the Carnahan community, I served as the Vice/Associate Principal at Driggers ES for the last 4 years, and the Admin Intern at Boone ES for 1 year. In addition, I was a classroom teacher for 10 years, having previously taught 1st, 3rd, and 4th grades at Cody ES and Forester ES- which I thoroughly enjoyed!

I like to make learning fun, exciting, enjoyable, and I love to laugh. I have high expectations, not only for all of you but myself as well. My door is always open so please don't ever hesitate to reach out to me for questions, comments, concerns, kudos, etc!

In my spare time, I have two nephews that I love to spoil rotten. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going to the beach, and crafting.
Mr. Scott Sheldon, Associate Principal
Scott Sheldon - Associate Principal

The Associate Principal also serves as the Campus Behavior Coordinator. They can be reached by email at Scott.Sheldon@nisd.net or by phone at 210-397-5865.

Mr. Sheldon has been involved in educating children in one form or another since 2005. First teaching music lessons while in college, then touring the country as a guest performer/clinician at many of the country’s higher education institutions, and lastly working as a teacher and administrator in elementary schools. He joined the ranks of Northside in 2010 as a 2nd-grade teacher, served as the Vice-Principal of Wanke Elementary School for the past 8 years, and is now excited to serve the Carnahan community as Associate Principal.

Mr. Sheldon has a bachelor’s degree in Jazz Studies (music performance) and a post-baccalaureate degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Texas. He also holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington and most recently acquired a Certification in Applied Positive Psychology from The Flourishing Center in New York City.

A strong supporter of Social-Emotional Learning and the Positive Education movement, Mr. Sheldon has a strong belief in the need to educate the whole child and strives to provide that for his campus and his own three children who all attend Northside Schools.
