Tawny Wagner - Principal
Hi Cowboys! My name is Tawny Wagner and I would like to introduce myself as the very proud Principal of James L. Carson Elementary School. I began my career as Principal at Carson in May of 2020. Prior to then, I served the communities of Powell, Oak Hills Terrace, McAndrew, Wanke and Rhodes Elementary Schools. I am also the proud mother of two amazing kids (both NISD graduates) and a very spoiled lab mix who thinks she is the boss. I am an avid saltwater fisher ”woman” and spend most of my down time at the coast. I love to camp, hike and travel and would love to do another “solo” trip.

Every opportunity that I have been blessed with has made me into the woman, mother, teacher, and leader I am today. It has brought clarity to my purpose and to my “why.”

My “why” is my compass. My “why” is that I believe that all students deserve experiences that grow their minds and that every adult has an opportunity to make a positive impact on a child every single day. Let’s make a positive impact together! Partner with us in learning and teaching! Let’s watch our students grow to be critical thinkers and lifelong learners.

Kimberly Mcclintic - Associate Principal

The Associate Principal also serves as the Campus Behavior Coordinator. They can be reached by email at kimberly.mcclintic@nisd.net or by phone at 210-397-1115.

Hello Carson Cowboys! I am Kim McClintic, the associate principal of the greatest school on the planet and I am excited to be part of the Cowboys family! Prior to coming to Carson in 2021, I was the administrative intern at Carnahan Elementary, ELA coordinator at Garcia Middle School and ELA teacher at Anson Jones Middle School, all in Northside ISD. My educational career began in SAISD as an elementary special education teacher.

I am a proud wife and a mother of three awesome kids, all who attended and graduated from Northside schools. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and spending time with family and friends. I also love to travel and have the opportunity to travel and live in some amazing places.

I look forward to supporting the Carson community and its students so that they receive an excellent education and embrace learning in all areas of their lives.
