Unit Title | Unit 12: Time and Linear Measurement | Unit 13: Personal Financial Literacy |
Time | 14 Days
| 4 Days |
Understandings | Students will tell time to the half hour by making connections between one-half of a circle and one-half of the face of an analog clock.
Students will understand the fractional language of time as they become proficient with telling time to the half hour on both analog and digital clocks.
Students will explore the continuous nature of linear measure by using concrete, non-standard measuring tools to measure the length of objects. | Students will define money earned as income, identify income as a means of obtaining goods and services, distinguish between wants and needs and between spending and saving, and consider charitable giving.
