Paul Brusewitz - Principal
My name is Paul Brusewitz and I have the honor of being your Principal here at Rita Kay Driggers Elementary.

This year I am beginning my 23rd year in education, all of which has been in Northside ISD.

I began my career at Carson Elementary teaching both 2nd and 5th grade. I then moved onto Braun Station Elementary where I was the Campus Instructional Technologist (CIT). After receiving my Administrative certification from UT San Antonio (UTSA) I served as an Administrative Intern at both Ott and Mead Elementary. I was then appointed Vice Principal at Jim Martin Elementary followed by two years as the Vice Principal at W.Z. "Doc" Burke Elementary.

In August of 2017, I was invited to become a member of the Rita Kay Driggers family.

I graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from UTSA and later earned a Masters Degree in Education from Walden University.

I was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and lived there until I joined the US Air Force. Following 9½ years in the service, I was honorably discharged and moved to San Antonio to start a new chapter in my life.

I have a beautiful and supportive wife, Jenni, and two amazing sons, Joshua and Zachary. I have many interests including woodwork, camping and family time. I also enjoy all sports, especially the Milwaukee Buck, GB Packers and whoever is playing the Dallas Cowboys :o).

My name is Lucy Gomez and I am so excited to be part of the Driggers family as your Vice Principal! I am a proud product of Northside (Go Mustangs!), and love that I am able to teach here as well!

I hold a B.S. degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M - Kingsville, and a master's degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from UTSA!

This will be my 12th year in this great district. I have previously taught 1st, 3rd, and 4th grades at Cody ES and Forester ES- which I thoroughly enjoyed! Then I had the great opportunity to join the Boone ES team as Admin Intern for 2017-2018 prior to being named VP here... that was one of my top 5 most favorite phone calls to ever receive!

I like to make learning fun, exciting, and enjoyable, and I love to laugh. I have high expectations, not only for all of you but myself as well. My door is always open so please don't ever hesitate to reach out to me for questions, comments, concerns, kudos, etc!

In my spare time, I have two nephews that I love to spoil rotten. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going to the beach, and crafting.
