My name is Laura Kaarlsen. I graduated from Texas A&M University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Environmental Design. I spent several years working in Architecture and Interior Design before earning my teaching certificate from UTSA in 1999. I taught 3rd grade for three years and have taught Art since 2002. I love my job!
In the Aerie Art Studio, your child will participate in projects which teach the elements and principles of the visual arts. We will use a variety of media from crayons and paints to clay, textiles, and more. My goal is that your child has a positive art experience. I require that they give their best effort and recognize their individual successes!
