Elrod Veterans Day Car Parade - Wednesday, November 11, 2026 @ 8:00 a.m.
Elrod Elementary is hosting its 2nd annual Veterans Day Car Parade and Reception to honor the incredible veterans and active military in our community. We invite all Elrod veterans and active military to participate as our special guests.
Date: Wednesday, November 11, 2026
Time: 8:00 (arrival time for car line up)
8:30 AM (parade start time)
Parade Location: Car line up will be in the back teacher parking lot.
Reception: Elrod library after the parade.
🚗 Car Parade Participation
If you are a veteran or active military and would like to be in the parade, please note the following guidelines.
Who is Invited: All Elrod veterans and active military family members (parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc.).
Vehicle Limit: Limit one vehicle per participating family. No trailers are permitted.
Decoration: We encourage you to decorate your vehicle in red, white, and blue and to honor your specific branch of military!
Provided Poster: We will provide one poster for your vehicle that will clearly display your name, branch of service, and your connection to Elrod (e.g., "Parent of 3rd Grader, Sam Smith").
Line-Up Time & Location: Please arrive to line up in the back parking lot starting at 8:00 AM.
☕ Reception Only Attendance
If you wish to participate in the celebration but only attend the small reception in the library following the parade, you are absolutely welcome!
✔️ How to RSVP
An RSVP is required for all participants (both parade and reception-only guests) so we can plan accordingly.
