ESPARZA VISION
Gregorio Esparza Elementary School is an outstanding school demonstrating excellence in all areas.
We provide an integrated, academically challenging curriculum that presents relevant and meaningful content accommodating the different needs and styles of all children.
We are an exemplary faculty/staff which works as a team recognizing, affirming, and maximizing the strengths of each individual and which encourages personal and professional growth.
We work with our parents and community as partners in accomplishing our mission.
MISSION
We partner with parents and the community to create a child-centered environment that maximizes the academic, social, emotional, physical, and aesthetic development of each child.

I started my career in education at a neighboring school district and taught 3rd and 4th grade for seven years. During that time I earned my M.A. in Education with a concentration in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas at San Antonio. I joined Northside ISD in 2010 and taught at Hoffmann and Mireles Elementary. Four years later, I took on a new role as the Vice Principal at Mireles. In 2019, I was appointed principal at Henry Steubing Elementary.
My heart is now here at Esparza. It truly is an honor to serve our Esparza students, staff, and community. Together, we will ensure that all of our Eagles learn and reach their full potential.
Please don’t hesitate to call, email, or come in and visit. We truly believe that collaborating and partnering with our parents and community will enhance our students’ education.

Hello! My name is Gabriela Menchaca, and I am proud to be the Vice-Principal at Esparza Elementary.
I graduated from Texas State in 2004 and obtained my Master's Degree from the University of Texas-San Antonio in 2012.
I was a bilingual teacher for 7 years, a language support teacher for 4 years, an administrative intern for a year, the vice principal at Fields Elementary, and now the Vice Principal here! I am Northside Strong.
I look forward to working with the community, the students, and the staff.
