What is S.T.E.A.M.?
STEAM Education is an approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking.
In the STEAM lab, your child will experience all of these areas on a weekly basis. The goal is to expose students at Esparza at an early age and try to prepare them for careers that have not even been created yet! Here at Esparza, we believe in educating the whole child and exposing them to experiences that will make them lifelong learners.
The student goals for the program are:
To improve the student experience in school through Discovery Time
Develop 21st-century learning skills
Develop grit
Develop digital citizenship
Develop skills that will be used beyond the STEAM lab
Develop connections for students to potential STEAM careers and fields
