Solar Cars

Solar Cars is a nine week club meeting after school at least one day a week. 4th & 5th grade students form small teams of three to design and build a lightweight vehicle. This car will use a solar panel as power and compete against other cars from around the district in a culminating event on a Saturday at the end of April.

This year's levy to fund maintenance and operations expenditures exceeds last year's maintenance and operations tax levy.
Northside Independent School District ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE.
THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 1.05 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $30.00.
