Hatchett Counselors

Hatchet Counselors are a vital key to all students' performance, leadership and success. Counselors provide a wide scope of skills allowing all students to maintain a healthy, social/emotional Elementary life. The Guidance and Counseling Program at Hatchett will focus on the following priorities:

  • Responsible behavior
  • Decision-making and problem-solving
  • Motivation to achieve
  • Self-esteem development
  • Interpersonal effectiveness
  • Communication skills and
  • Cross-cultural effectiveness.

These skill areas are addressed through four main components: guidance and curriculum, planning systems, responsive services, and system support.
