Mission Statement: Henderson is a collaborative community providing a positive, safe, supporting, and proactive learning environment that fosters diversity and student success.
I had the privilege of helping open Henderson Elementary in 2010, a milestone that remains one of the proudest moments of my career. Before becoming principal, I served as the associate principal here at Henderson. My experience in the classroom includes teaching kindergarten, third grade, and special education; roles that shaped my deep understanding of student needs and instructional excellence.
Being a part of the Henderson Elementary family has truly been a privilege. Our campus is filled with incredibly talented teachers and dedicated staff members who work together to ensure that our students, families, and community always come first.
My goal as principal is to continue fostering a supportive, inclusive, and engaging school environment; one where every child is valued, every voice is heard, and academic growth flourishes. I am committed to maintaining a positive climate and culture that supports both teaching and learning, and meets the unique needs of all students.
Kind regards,
Lillyana Hinojosa, M.Ed.

Hello, Henderson family! I am truly honored and excited to serve as your Associate Principal. As a proud Northside ISD graduate, it is especially meaningful to give back to the district that shaped me. I earned my bachelor's degree from Stanford University, where I played football, and my master's degree from Lamar University. After 11 years serving in a variety of roles across NISD, I am thrilled to begin this next chapter at Henderson.
I believe the strongest schools are built on meaningful partnerships between students, families, staff, and the community. I look forward to getting to know each of you and working together to create a positive, supportive environment where every child can learn, grow, and succeed. Thank you for entrusting us with your child. It is a privilege to be part of their educational journey. My door is always open, so please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need assistance. I am here to serve, and I can't wait for a fantastic year at Henderson!
Kind regards,
Jarek Lancaster, M. Ed
