Principles of Applied Engineering

Principles of Applied Engineering is a High School credit course offered for 8th Grade students at Jefferson Middle School.  The class will introduce students to some of the disciplines of Engineering, explore the educational requirements for becoming an Engineer and investigate careers in Engineering and related fields.  Students will work using computers for drafting, design, research, and experiments as well as participate in hands-on projects built using tools in our shop.  Students will learn and demonstrate Shop Safety and successful teamwork.  There is no prerequisite for this class.

This year's levy to fund maintenance and operations expenditures exceeds last year's maintenance and operations tax levy.
Northside Independent School District ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE.
THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 1.05 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $30.00.
