Red Ribbon Week - October 27-31
Next week from October 27th - 31st is Red Ribbon Week! Red Ribbon Week highlights the importance of living a drug-free life. It presents an opportunity for parents, educators, and communities to reinforce the drug-free messages they share with their children throughout the year. During Red Ribbon Week, youth and adults around the nation pledge to increase their knowledge by learning more about the destructive effects of drug abuse, including prescription drug misuse, and renew their commitment to live a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. For more information, visit https://www.dea.gov/redribbon!
We will celebrate our commitment to living a drug-free lifestyle with fun dress-up days all week:
- Monday - RED-y to be Drug Free! Wear lots of RED to show your commitment to a healthy lifestyle.
- Tuesday - TEAM Up Against Drugs! Show your spirit in a team jersey, college shirt, or school gear.
- Wednesday - Follow Your DREAMS, Stay Drug Free! Wear school-appropriate pajamas or comfy clothes.
- Thursday - Too BRIGHT for Drugs! Dress in neon or tie-dye to shine your positive energy.
- Friday - CHARACTER Counts: Be Drug Free! Dress as your favorite book, movie, or TV character, or wear Halloween colors (No masks, weapons, or full face paint).
PTA Teacher Supply Drive
PTA is asking families to help out our teachers by providing classroom supplies that they would otherwise have to purchase with their own money. Donations should be put into the provided tote in the cafeteria. The grade level with the most donations will win a pajama day and a treat from PTA!
While the most needed items are tissues, hand sanitizer, and disinfectant wipes, there are more items requested by the teachers on this amazon registry: https://www.amazon.com/registries/gl/guest-view/2HOMWE81UP3TN?ref=gr_search_page_result
