Administration has addressed several behavior issues on school buses recently. We continue to reinforce these bus expectations:

• Students are to remain seated except at bus stops. Students should not be standing or moving around the bus while it is driving or at red lights.
• Students should wear seat belts. Northside ISD is continuing to install seat belts on buses that are not yet equipped. If the bus has seat belts, students must wear them. This is state law.
• Students should never throw backpacks, clothes, food, school supplies or other objects. This is unsafe and distracting.
• Students should be respectful of others, including using headphones to listen to games or music and using appropriate language.

Magnet bus routes can be long. It is important that students are safe and welcome on the bus. If your student experiences issues on the bus, encourage them to report them to the office the following school day.

Coming up October 6

We are thrilled to invite you to our STEM Bowling Party! Bandera Bowling needs a preliminary headcount for lane reservations. Please RSVP by September 29th. This is a soft RSVP, so if an additional sibling would like to join us on the day of the party, they are more than welcome. You will pay Bandera Bowling based on the actual number of bowlers.

Date: Tuesday, October 6th, 2025
Cost: $6.50 (includes 2 games and shoe rental)
Time: 6:00-8:00 PM

You will pay on site when you arrive. Please RSVP with this form to give us an approximate count.

Cougar Family, mark your calendars for an amazing lunch/dinner...Please join us for an Anson Jones Dine and Donate fundraiser at Bubba's 33 at the loop 410 location all day on September 29th.  Just mention Anson Jones when ordering throughout the day and a portion of your check will be donated to the school!! This is for dine in or pick up! Please share with your family and friends.  This is also going out to our Cougar families.  As always, thank you for your support.  Please see the attached flyer.

Student ID badges are part of our campus safety system. Students are expected to carry their ID badges with them when they are on campus. Students' first badges are provided for free. Replacements cost $5.

Students are allowed to scan their badges in the lunch and breakfast lines which makes the lines move more quickly. Otherwise, students can continue to type in their ID numbers as before.

Beginning October 1, students will be required to have their ID badges to attend sporting events, school dances, or fine arts events.

Students scan their ID badges as they board the school bus to help locate students and monitor bus usage.
