Do you enjoy building things? Do you like figuring out how something works without directions? Do you like working with your hands?  In this club, students will build a solar-powered car from scratch and race their cars with teams from other schools at the Annual NISD Solar Car Races, on Saturday, April 11, 2026.

This year's levy to fund maintenance and operations expenditures exceeds last year's maintenance and operations tax levy.
Northside Independent School District ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE.
THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 1.05 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $30.00.
