Dear Parents and Families of Kallison Elementary,

My name is Billy Navin and it is my privilege and honor to serve as the Principal of Kallison Elementary. Kallison Elementary is a school focused on high academic expectations while addressing the needs of the whole child to include character development as well as enriching experiences.
To give you a little information about myself, I am a product of Northside and graduate of Marshall High School. I have worked as an Educator in this District now for over 20 years. My positions have included Physical Education, Classroom Teacher, Academic Support Specialist, Vice Principal, and Principal.

If there is one thing I want you to know about me as your Principal, it is I believe with every ounce of my being every child can succeed and I know not all success looks the same. The high expectations we have for each child at Kallison Elementary attributes to our ability in providing our students with the tools necessary to achieve success in todayโ€™s 21st century learning environment.

As an administrator, I am eager to continue learning and growing while carrying out the mission and vision of our campus's esteemed reputation. At Kallison, we build our community every day and nourish our learners in every way. Together, we will advocate for every student, set high expectations, and foster their social and emotional needs.

I am a graduate of Texas A&M University in Corpus Christi. I have a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Masterโ€™s Degree of Science in Special Education. I continued to further my education by attending Texas A&M University in San Antonio where I completed my Administration Certification. Courtney Shelby
    Administrative Intern

It is with great excitement that I join the Kallison Elementary family as the new Administrative Intern. Education has been my passion for over 20 years, with 16 of those years spent in the classroom. I am originally from Houston, Texas, where I had the privilege of teaching for 15 years before moving into academic support. Most recently, I have been at Murnin Elementary, where I supported reading and writing instruction and partnered with teachers and students to foster growth and success. I hold a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction and Principal Certification from St. Thomas University of Houston.

I believe in supporting the vision and mission of our campus by building a culture of collaboration, celebrating each personโ€™s individual uniqueness, and ensuring every student has the opportunity to shine. At Kallison Elementary, we are Stampede Strong โ€“ Strong Leaders, Brilliant Believers, and Innovative Achievers โ€“ and I am honored to join this community as we Lead the Charge together!

Outside of school, I cherish time with my husband, Joshua, and our three boys โ€“ Alexander, Jaxson, and Harper โ€“ who bring so much joy and inspiration to my life.
