Mrs. Jones
Greetings, Kallison Family!
My name is Maria Jones, and I am thrilled to be a member of the Kallison Elementary family! I am beginning my third year as a Pre-K teacher, and I have been part of the Kallison community since the school opened, serving in various roles, including volunteer, PTA board member, bilingual tutor, substitute teacher, and Pre-K classroom teacher.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. I also completed my Masterโs degree in Bicultural and Bilingual Education from UTSA. I am currently pursuing my doctorate in Bilingual Curriculum and Instruction at UTRGV, where I continue to grow as an educator and advocate for bilingual students.
I am a proud military veteran and take great pride in my service. Outside of teaching, I am married and a proud mother of three children: a college student, a high school senior, and a fifth grader here at Kallison. My family and I have a strong passion for traveling and immersing ourselves in different cultures around the world.
I am a very passionate teacher, and I truly believe that every child is unique and deserves the opportunity to grow, learn, and develop at their own pace. My goal is to create a classroom where every child feels safe, welcomed, valued, and encouraged to be themselves. I look forward to partnering with you and your child to make this a wonderful and meaningful school year!
