Kendra Merrell - Principal
My name is Kendra Merrell and I am the proud principal at Bob Lewis Elementary School. I have worked as a first grade teacher and a third grade teacher as well as an academic specialist in the areas of science and writing. I actually started my administrative career right here at Lewis Elementary! I was the administrative intern for the campus for the 2007-2008 school year. I am honored to be your principal and I am so fortunate to be a part of the BLE family!

Amanda Espinoza - Associate Principal

My name is Amanda Espinoza, and I am your proud Associate Principal of Lewis! I am originally from Las Cruces, New Mexico. I moved to San Antonio in 2015 to work for Northside ISD. My educational career began in 2014 and includes teaching 1st grade and 5th grade at Lieck Elementary. I then moved into the Special Education Campus Coordinator role before transitioning to the Department of Curriculum and Instruction where I worked to support campuses and collaborate to develop the Reading/Language Arts Curriculum for the district. I received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from New Mexico State University in 2011 and my Masters in Special Education in 2014. I received my administration certification through Lamar University in 2025. I have a wonderful son who was born in 2021 and a supportive husband, parents and family. I am so blessed and excited to be part of the Lewis family, build relationships, and strive for excellence!
